Aspen EV charging stops

Last updated October 24, 2026

Aspen repeats the Vail pattern in a smaller valley. Downtown is hotels and Tesla Destination chargers: Level 2, for guests, on streets where the restaurants and the restrooms already are. The Supercharger is not on that mall. It is at 38750 Highway 82, the airport end of the road into town, with eight positions. If you need a fast session, you are at the airport site. If you are staying at the Jerome or the Little Nell, you are on a slow plug and you should be happy about that, because the car can sit there while you are at dinner.

Highway 82 from Glenwood Springs is the approach, and Glenwood's own fast sites are the Target at the Meadows and the Residence Inn Supercharger. Those are on the I-70 guide. Do not start up the valley toward Aspen on the assumption that downtown will have a DC fast row. It has hotels.

How to read this list

Names, addresses, networks, and charging-position counts come from the EVEats catalog, checked on October 24, 2026. The catalog is built from the U.S. Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center. A charging position is the sum of Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast ports reported for that site, so the number alone does not tell you the plug is fast.

Read the station name. Supercharger means Tesla DC fast charging. Tesla Destination means Level 2, the kind of plug you use for a long meal or an overnight stay. Electrify America sites in these guides are that network's DC fast stations. The catalog does not show live availability, kilowatts, price, or whether your car can connect without an adapter. Check the network's own app before you leave the highway. Store and restaurant hours change, and a restroom inside a business is only available while that business is open.

As of October 24, 2026, these stops had no approved driver note in EVEats unless a note is quoted on the page. A specific note about food or a restroom is more useful to the next driver than another copy of the address.

The fast stop

Highway 82 Supercharger

Tesla · 8 charging positions · 38750 Highway 82, Aspen, CO 81611

Eight Supercharger positions at 38750 Highway 82. That address is the airport end of Highway 82, not the core of town. The food, if any, is whatever is open around the airport, and airport concessions are often on the wrong side of a ticketed door. Look before you count on a meal. A restroom may mean going into a business that will actually let a non-passenger in. Eight positions is enough for a small city's fast site and not enough to treat as infinite on a holiday weekend. Charge here when the battery is the problem. Then drive in and park. Do not expect to relocate this row to Galena Street because that would be more convenient to dinner.

Downtown, if you are staying

Hotel Jerome

Tesla Destination · 4 charging positions · 330 E Main St, Aspen, CO 81611

Four destination positions at the Jerome, on East Main. This is the downtown lodging plug: Level 2, guest parking, restaurants on Main Street, restrooms in the hotel and in the businesses you are allowed to enter. It is the right charger for a night in Aspen. It is the wrong charger for a car that still has to get back to Glenwood before the Level 2 session has done much. If you are not a guest, leave it alone and use Highway 82.

Limelight Hotel

Tesla Destination · 2 charging positions · 355 S Monarch St, Aspen, CO 81611

Two destination positions at the Limelight, on Monarch Street, a block off the main pedestrian stretch. Two stalls and Level 2 means an overnight for a guest, nothing more. The neighborhood is the amenity: you are already where dinner is. The energy for the drive out of the valley should have come from the Highway 82 Supercharger or from Glenwood, not from these two posts in the hour before you leave.

The same downtown list includes the St. Regis on East Dean, the Little Nell on East Durant, the Residences at the Little Nell, and the Gant on West End Street. Two or three destination positions each. Different lobbies, same job. None of them is a substitute for the eight-position Supercharger on Highway 82.

A sensible Aspen day

Coming from Glenwood, use the Target or the Residence Inn Supercharger in Glenwood Springs if you are not sure the valley will be kind, then use the Highway 82 Supercharger if you still want a fast session before you park downtown. Once you are in town for the night, move to the hotel Destination charger and stay there. In the morning, unplug when you have enough to reach the next fast site you trust, which may be Highway 82 again or Glenwood on the way out. A weekend arrival with 10 percent and a dinner reservation downtown is the scenario this page is trying to prevent.
