Aurora and east Denver EV charging stops
Last updated October 24, 2026
Aurora is where a lot of Denver charging actually happens if you live east
of Colorado Boulevard or you are starting a drive toward Kansas. The useful
pattern is repetitive on purpose: a Walmart or a King Soopers with a small
Electrify America or EVgo row, a restroom inside the store, and food you
buy rather than a restaurant you sit down at. The one high-capacity fast
site in this part of the map is the Parker Road Supercharger, 16 positions,
on an address the catalog files under Denver even though the pin is the
Aurora line.
None of these are a downtown food crawl. If you want the mall meal, use
Cherry Creek, which is in the
Denver food guide.
If you want to get on I-70 or I-225 and be done, use the store.
How to read this list
Names, addresses, networks, and charging-position counts come from the
EVEats catalog, checked on October 24, 2026. The catalog is built from the
U.S. Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center. A charging
position is the sum of Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast ports reported for
that site, so the number alone does not tell you the plug is fast.
Read the station name. Supercharger means Tesla DC fast
charging. Tesla Destination means Level 2, the kind of
plug you use for a long meal or an overnight stay. Electrify America sites
in these guides are that network's DC fast stations. The catalog does not
show live availability, kilowatts, price, or whether your car can connect
without an adapter. Check the network's own app before you leave the
highway. Store and restaurant hours change, and a restroom inside a
business is only available while that business is open.
As of October 24, 2026, these stops had no approved driver note in EVEats
unless a note is quoted on the page. A specific note about food or a
restroom is more useful to the next driver than another copy of the address.
Stores with a charger in the lot
King Soopers on East Colfax
EVgo · 4 charging positions · 15109 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80011
King Soopers 52 is the original-Aurora grocery stop, on East Colfax where the motels and the older commercial strip still are. Four EVgo positions, a full grocery, and a restroom during store hours. Colfax is slow, which is the reason to use this site when you are already on Colfax and the reason to skip it when you are on I-225. The catalog address is the store. You should not expect a separate charging lounge.

Walmart on Exposition Avenue
Electrify America · 4 charging positions · 14000 Exposition Ave, Aurora, CO 80012
Walmart 1492 sits south of the Cherry Creek reservoir area, at Exposition. Four Electrify America positions and a Supercenter restroom. This is the stop if you are on the south side of Aurora and would rather not cross town to Parker Road. Store hours govern the bathroom. The chargers may be available later than the doors.

Walmart on Chambers Road
Electrify America · 4 charging positions · 5650 S Chambers Rd, Aurora, CO 80015
Walmart 1689 on South Chambers is the southeast Aurora box. Same shape as the others: four Electrify America positions, groceries, restrooms while the store is open. Chambers is a direct north-south road if you are coming off E-470 or connecting to the south suburbs. It is not a place to walk between restaurants. Buy what you need and move.

Walmart on South Aurora Parkway
Electrify America · 4 charging positions · 6101 South Aurora Parkway, Aurora, CO 80016
Walmart 5137 is the Southlands-side store, farther southeast. Four positions again. Use it when you are already in that corner of the city, near the mall traffic, and you want a restroom without driving back to I-25. If the row is full, Chambers and Exposition are the other Walmart fast sites, not a downtown fallback.

Buckley Square
EVgo · 6 charging positions · 17000 E Iliff Ave, Aurora, CO 80013
Buckley Square is an EVgo site with six positions, the largest EVgo count in this Aurora set. The catalog spells the street with a doubled letter; the pin is East Iliff. A shopping-center charger is more likely to have several doors and a restroom than a lone stall on a side street, and less likely to be a single named restaurant. Look at which businesses in the square are open before you leave the car for a long order. Six positions is more forgiving than the four-post Walmart rows.

Bristol Village
EVgo · 4 charging positions · 700 S Buckley Rd, Aurora, CO 80017
Four EVgo positions at Bristol Village, on South Buckley. This is a neighborhood shopping stop near Buckley Road's commercial stretch, useful if you live nearby or you are cutting across Aurora rather than using the freeway. Four positions and a village of storefronts: pick a business that is open if you need a restroom, and do not assume the charger and a 24-hour counter are the same building.

The large fast site, and the airport edge
Parker Road Supercharger
Tesla · 16 charging positions · 2751 S Parker Rd, Denver, CO 80014
Sixteen positions, and the catalog city says Denver while the ZIP is the Aurora side of Parker Road. This is the site you choose when the priority is a fast session with room, not a particular grocery. The address itself does not name a store. Walk the lot you actually parked in before you tell a passenger where dinner is. Cherry Creek State Park has a separate Rivian listing at 4201 South Parker Road with two positions. That is a park, not a restaurant, and it is not a substitute for this Supercharger. Use the park pin only if you are already there to walk.

Farther north, toward DIA, the catalog puts a 16-position Supercharger at
5940 Tower Road and an 8-position Supercharger at 6691 Tower Road, plus the
Electrify America site at the Costco on Airport Way (6 positions, 4717
Airport Way). Tower Road is how you stage an eastbound or airport trip.
Costco is the food, if your membership gets you in. The Tower Road stalls
are the energy. That cluster is also listed from the Denver side in the
Denver guide.
For the plains beyond it, Limon's Supercharger and Flying J are the next
real stop, covered in the
I-70 guide
as the eastbound counterpart.
