Fort Collins EV charging and food
Last updated October 24, 2026
Fort Collins is a good place to eat and a thin place to fast-charge. The
catalog's in-town sites are small ChargePoint posts, brewery lots, one
EVgo plug at an outdoor shop, and Tesla Destination chargers at hotels.
Destination means Level 2. If you are spending the evening in Old Town or
at a brewery, that is the correct charger. If you are driving I-25 and
need 30 minutes of DC fast charging, the stops that match the clock are
south of town, in Loveland and Johnstown, and southeast in Longmont.
That split is the whole guide. People get into trouble by seeing "Fort
Collins" on a pin, exiting for Old Town, and discovering two ChargePoint
cords behind a restaurant alley. The food is real. The energy is not, not
on a highway schedule.
How to read this list
Names, addresses, networks, and charging-position counts come from the
EVEats catalog, checked on October 24, 2026. The catalog is built from the
U.S. Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center. A charging
position is the sum of Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast ports reported for
that site, so the number alone does not tell you the plug is fast.
Read the station name. Supercharger means Tesla DC fast
charging. Tesla Destination means Level 2, the kind of
plug you use for a long meal or an overnight stay. Electrify America sites
in these guides are that network's DC fast stations. The catalog does not
show live availability, kilowatts, price, or whether your car can connect
without an adapter. Check the network's own app before you leave the
highway. Store and restaurant hours change, and a restroom inside a
business is only available while that business is open.
As of October 24, 2026, these stops had no approved driver note in EVEats
unless a note is quoted on the page. A specific note about food or a
restroom is more useful to the next driver than another copy of the address.
If you are staying in town
Firehouse Alley
ChargePoint · 2 charging positions · 130 Chestnut St, Fort Collins, CO 80524
Two ChargePoint positions on Chestnut Street put you in Old Town, which is the restaurant and coffee district, with restrooms in the businesses around the square. Two positions means you should not promise anyone this space will be open at dinner. The charge, if you get it, is the slow kind that makes sense only because you were going to sit down for a long time anyway. Walk to the square. Do not treat the alley as a highway plaza.

New Belgium Brewing
Independent / Non-Networked · 4 charging positions · 500 Linden St, Fort Collins, CO 80524
Four positions at New Belgium, listed with no network, sit at the brewery on Linden Street. The amenity is the taproom: food and restrooms while it is open, and a charge that should be assumed Level 2 unless you confirm otherwise at the post. This is one of the better park-and-stay sites in the city because the reason you are there takes an hour or two. It is a bad emergency stop. The lot can be crowded when the taproom is, and an independent plug may not start from the app you use on the highway.

Odell Brewing
Independent / Non-Networked · 2 charging positions · 800 E Lincoln, Fort Collins, CO 80524
Odell is the same idea with less room: two independent positions at the brewery on East Lincoln. Go for the taproom, use the restroom inside, and expect a long plug. Two stalls and no network name is not a backup for a failed fast-charge session on I-25. If the battery is the problem, get back on the highway and use Loveland or Johnstown.

Jax Outdoor Gear
EVgo · 1 charging position · 1200 N College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80524
One EVgo position at Jax, on North College Avenue, is a shop stop. College Avenue has food nearby, and the store is a plausible restroom if you are a customer during open hours. One position is the entire plan. Do not route a car that is low on range to a single plug on a retail street. It is listed here so the pin is not a surprise, not so you will aim at it.

If you are driving through
The fast sites with a store attached are outside the Old Town grid.
Loveland Supercharger and the Target
Tesla · 10 charging positions · 4705 Clydesdale Parkway, Loveland, CO 80538. Electrify America · 4 charging positions · Target, 1725 Rocky Mountain Ave, Loveland, CO 80538
Loveland's I-25 retail area is the practical north-Front-Range meal stop. The Supercharger at 4705 Clydesdale Parkway has 10 positions. The Electrify America site is at Target on Rocky Mountain Avenue, 4 positions, which is the restroom and the snack you can count on during store hours. They are the same part of town, not the same stall. Use the Target when you need a building. Use the Supercharger when you need the larger fast row and your car can take it. Either one is a better highway stop than Firehouse Alley. The Target pin is the store.

Johnstown Supercharger
Tesla · 12 charging positions · 5201 Nugget Rd, Johnstown, CO 80534
Twelve positions on Nugget Road is the high-capacity Tesla site between Loveland and the north Denver suburbs. The catalog does not name a grocery or a restaurant in the station title, so do not assume a food court until you see the building. It is still the site you use when the goal is energy and the Loveland rows are full. Confirm what is open beside the stalls before you promise a passenger dinner. The meal you can bank on in this stretch remains the Target in Loveland.

Longmont Supercharger and Walmart
Tesla · 12 charging positions · 700 Ken Pratt Blvd, Longmont, CO 80501. Electrify America · 4 charging positions · Walmart, 2514 Main St, Longmont, CO 80504
Longmont is a few minutes off the strict I-25 line and is the other fast option if you are coming from Boulder or US-287. Twelve Supercharger positions on Ken Pratt Boulevard, and four Electrify America positions at the Walmart on Main Street. The Walmart is the restroom and the grocery. The Supercharger is the capacity. Together they are what Fort Collins does not have in Old Town: a fast session with a store. The Walmart pin is the store.

Hotel destination chargers, including the Hilton on West Prospect and the
Cambria on East Harmony, are for guests. Harmony Road is a commercial
strip with ordinary errands, not a second Old Town. The through-route,
including Greeley's Centerplace Target if you have already left I-25 toward
the east, is in the
I-25 guide.
