Privacy Policy
EVEats is a product of RenewableBytes LLC (“we”, “us”). EVEats helps people find EV charging locations and share notes about nearby amenities. This policy describes what we collect for the company site at eveats.net and the web app at app.eveats.net.
Data we collect
- Account identity — when you sign in with Google via Firebase Authentication: Firebase user id, email address, display name, and profile photo URL.
- Notes you write — note text is stored on our servers and attributed to your account until you delete the account.
- Approximate device location — used only while the map is open to show nearby chargers. We do not store your location on our servers.
- Advertising cookies and similar identifiers — when ads are shown in the web app, Google AdSense may set cookies or use similar technologies. The marketing homepage does not show ads.
Why we use it
- Create and maintain your account.
- Attribute and publish notes you submit.
- Show charging locations near you on the map.
- Deliver banner ads in the web app to users who are not ad-free.
Third parties
- Google (Firebase Authentication) — sign-in.
- Google AdSense — display ads in the web app only. See how Google uses data for ads.
- Mapbox — map tiles and place-name geocoding.
- OpenAI — note text is sent to OpenAI’s moderation API before a human reviews whether the note is published. Do not put sensitive personal information in notes.
Ads
This company homepage does not show ads. The web app at app.eveats.net may show Google AdSense banners to signed-out users and to signed-in users who are not subscribed as ad-free. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google’s Funding Choices message may ask for consent before personalized ads are served.
Retention and deletion
Notes are kept until you delete your account. You can delete your account in the app under Account → Delete account, or email privacy@eveats.net. See also how to delete your account.
Your rights
If GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, portability, or objection. If CCPA/CPRA applies, you may request to know or delete personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact privacy@eveats.net.
Children
EVEats is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date above will change when we do.
